All You Need To Celebrate Holidays with a Western Flair Online
Have you ever wondered why a growing number of people chase after Horse Christmas Ornaments for their holiday tree? The first reason is because for any animal lover, horse depictions make wonderful Christmas decorations. Horse figurines look elegant and noble and their often striking form is just timeless. But, that’s not the only reason why people choose to prominently display western themed decorations this time of year.
In the world of animal symbolism, horses symbolize strength and power, coping with difficulties, wisdom, fertility, friendship, love, devotion and freedom. That’s quite a lot of very important traits, and anyone who’s had a horse, or who has longed to have a horse knows that they have almost magical powers when a human is in their presence. It is because of this simple fact and widespread fascination, that people become attracted to this type of animal. This makes this particular holiday theme pretty special to a good volume of people.

There are several ways to create a well-coordinated horse-themed Christmas scheme in your home. You can create a vintage, rustic look by hanging a wooden ornament of Santa on his sleigh pulled by a prancing bay horse. There are also ball ornaments that are hand painted with horse scenes that could be a lovely addition to your tree regardless of your theme.
For a slightly more exciting motif, it’s always fun to collect an entire line of ornaments which showcase all kinds of horse breeds and types, and if you really love the feeling of the old west, couple these decorations with cowboys and Indians, buckskin coverings, and other little knickknacks that give off a distinct aura.

Theme ornaments such as these can be the perfect gift for the horse lover on your Christmas shopping list. In choosing the style and design to give, identify the receiver’s favorite breed or the color of their horse if they own one. A great gift would be a wooden horse than can be personalized to have the recipient’s horse’s name engraved. A mare and a foal ornament is a perfect gift to an equestrian or to an expecting mother.
A wooden rocking-horse ornament can be a great “first Christmas” gift for a baby. Customize it with the child’s name and the year. This could also be a wonderful keepsake as it is made from solid hardwood and would surely last a very long time. The variety of ornaments dedicated to horse depictions is quite diverse. You can choose those that are painted and colorfully decorated or opt for the simpler ones that have the natural color of the wood.
Getting even more specific, intricately designed Christmas carousels or fancy Christmas horses with golden mane and tail are wonderful holiday heirlooms. The fantastic hand-carved wooden horses adorned with hand painted colorful jewels and sometimes embellished with glitter and tiny gems are really pretty, and something you could easily get the whole family to treasure. Don’t go without somehow including this beautiful animal in your holiday celebration this year.

Neat, this is a great subset of ornaments. Horses are a real passion for many people and I can see a whole tree decorated around this theme. Great info…
Hi! My best friend from elementary school is crazy about horseback riding. I’ll be sure to tell her about these lovely ornaments here! David
I remember when I a kid I received a rocking horse for chrismas (I loved that horse). I would be so cure to have a few horse on the tree.
These are great! My nieces love horses, and I think these are the first horse ornaments I’ve found.

I love the personalized stirrup ornaments! This is just a marvelous idea! I know a few horse lovers who would really appreciate these – I may be back to purchase
I think that these ornaments are so different than the usual Christmas decorations that you buy for trees, looks like I will get help this year the kids will love to put these on the tree.
That painted Christmas horse ornament is beautiful, but then I’m a fan of figural ornaments in general, like the old 3 dimensional Dresden cardboard animals (though authentic ones are getting harder and harder to come by). I also like the stirrup ornaments – what a unique and thoughtful equestrian gift!
I agree with Adele – the painted Christmas horse ornament is stunning. All of the suggestions you have given are wonderful.
A horse ornament really does add a special, rustic touch to your Christmas decorating.
